| Our Building |
Most art schools reside in used spaces ... homes or mansions, deserted warehouses, once-thriving commercial establishments, or vacated school buildings. Not so for Fire & Earth.
The all new, 2-story Fire & Earth Academy is being built as a creative environment designed specifically to meet the needs of artists seeking art education.
The 11,000 square foot building is divided into both expansive and intimate spaces. There are roomy, well-lit, high-ceilinged classrooms for group learning. And, there are smaller dormitory-like spaces, where up to five artists can share kitchenettes and studio space, and work whenever they choose. |

| Designed with "Community" in Mind |
When workshops recess, idea sharing and conversations continue in our common areas, including a sculpture courtyard, reading room, rooftop garden, and our wine bar/restaurant, The Renaissance Café.
A beautifully designed space with warm colors, inviting furniture, and soaring, 16-foot ceilings, the café is a focal point for student life, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, and featuring a regular program of guest speakers. |
| Progress |
| As soon as construction begins, we'll post photos of our school-in process. |
| Location |
| We are located in Portland's Clinton district, an area that is fast becoming a vibrant center for socially-conscious people. |
